Tattoo design/ Design changes
I recommend all potential clients to review my tattoos before submitting a request form. I do my best to take on projects for any type of tattoos, however I will respectfully decline projects that may not be best suited for me.
All designs will be shown to you the day of your appointment. I will keep all your requests and references in mind when designing your tattoo, but find that I work best with some creative freedom. I will not stray away from your idea, but use it as inspiration to create something original for you. Please know that I’m very honored that you chose me for your tattoo, and I work a certain way to make sure that you leave with the best work that I can do.
I choose which projects to do based off of the tattoo request you submit, finalizing the details during the consultation. If you decide to make major changes to the design, including placement and size, that may result in cancellation of your appointment, as well as forfeit of your deposit. Small adjustments and design requests shall be discussed prior to your appointment.
Price/ Quote
There are many factors that affect the time I spend on each tattoo: like placement on the body, amount of detail, and size. It’s safe to say that a majority of my single session tattoos take anywhere from 6-8 hours.
Bigger projects like sleeves, backs, etc. will vary in time depending on design, detail, and overall anatomy of client. These are multiple session projects and once we figure out the variables and details, I would have a better idea of how long the project is going to take.
Appointment Day
You are allowed one person at your appointment, but I recommend to come alone as I find that clients tend to sit a lot better with no distractions.
Get a full nights rest
Stay hydrated
Eat a meal before appointment
Bring snacks
Headphones and iPad are allowed during your session
Wear appropriate clothing/ comfortable clothes
Don’t show up intoxicated
How long does it take a tattoo to heal and what should I do after?
It usually takes two weeks to “heal”, although it takes longer for the skin to fully regenerate. It is not advisable to do sports, sunbath or swim after tattooing. The healing process for natural tattooed skin usually takes 7-28 days. Even if the tattoo looks healed, the natural protective skin barrier recovery period continues for another three to four weeks.
You will be given care instructions note after your tattoo session. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions. One who follows tattooed skin aftercare instructions poorly, will not be happy about it sooner or later. During the healing progress, the color of the tattoo may partially fade away to the extent that some areas of the skin may even get damaged. Very subtle lines can become wider than before. For others, the entire tattoo can fade away prematurely. Good skincare really plays a vital role in the final result.
Also, you should never forget that you and your artist have invested a lot of time and effort in order to provide you the best possible result, so please follow the instructions! In addition, we do offer a one time FREE touch-up for our clients within six months if required.
Recovery Aftercare
Directions for Use:
Gently clean and pat dry the tattoo and surrounding area, ensuring there is no soap or any residue on the skin. With clean gloves, remove Derm Shield from the sterile pouch. Cut the Derm Shield to cover tattooed area plus a 1 to 2 inch margin from the edge of the tattoo. Peel off backing to expose adhesive side and position the Derm Shield over the tattoo with the adhesive side facing the skin. Gently apply using light pressure, starting from the center to the edges to eliminate air bubbles. Do not stretch the Derm Shield during application.
The first Derm Shield application should stay in place for 24 hours, depending on level of exudation. It is normal for blood and fluids to collect under the bandage.
A second application can be used for several days, and a third application may be used if necessary. Gently clean and dry the area between applications. Do not wear any piece longer than one week.
Directions for Removal:
Gently peel the Derm Shield by pulling it slowly from the edge back over itself. Do not pull the bandage upwards.
